November Tip of the Month:
No more legacy numbers!!
During the transition to the NPI and the new CMS-1500 (8/05) claim form, providers were asked to bill with their existing legacy numbers in addition to their new NPI numbers so that Medicare could cross-reference the provider numbers.
This is no longer a requirement! Bill with the provider's NPI only!
