CPMB (Certified Professional Medical Biller) Exam

We will not tell you certification is required by law-it's not.  Medical Billing certification is not state or federally mandated; it is optional.  Why should you get certified?  Certification places you a 'step-above' those not certified.  Certification shows your prospective or current employer that you have passed an exam on the subject material and that you are dedicated to the profession!

The CPMB(Certified Professional Medical Biller) Exam:

  • Open-book exam
  • 100 multiple choice questions
  • Exam and study guide are emailed to you
  • 30-day time frame to complete the exam
  • Must pass with a minimum grade of 80% to be awarded the CPMB credential
  • One-free re-take should you not pass the first time
  • Certificate of CPMB award
  • 6 CEUs

***CPMB Exam results are emailed to student within 7 business days.

CPMBs must earn 12 CEUs(Continuing Education Units) annually to maintain the CPMB status.  CEUs are due on your anniversary date.
