Facility Billing 101

Billing with the UB-04 form, the billing document used for hospital and facility billing services and procedures is the 'heart' of this course.  Students are familiarized with the different form fields and the data needed to complete them.  Revenue codes, condition codes, and value codes are introduced for students to accurately complete the UB-04 form.  Topics will also include the IPPS (In-patient Prospective Payment System) and the DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) as they relate to billing.  Billing scenarios are provided for practice in enhancing proficiency in form completion.
